James Hury is the Deputy Director and Chief Innovation Officer for the Translational Research Institute for Space Health. In this role, James executes the vision of TRISH leadership to source and seed the most impactful emerging health technologies for NASA’s deep space exploration.
The Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) is empowered by NASA’s Human Research Program to source and seed the best emerging health technologies to support deep space exploration. Deep space is defined as anything past low Earth orbit, which would include the upcoming Artemis missions to the moon as well as the manned mission to Mars. James heads the Industry program, which funds companies of all sizes to develop or validate technologies that support four Astronauts on a 2.5-year mission to Mars and back.
