Meredith Chapman
Meredith R. Chapman, MD, is the medical director of the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is an associate professor of psychiatry at The Ohio State University School of Medicine.
She received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed her Triple Board residency in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Chapman is board certified in psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.
Prior to coming to Nationwide Children’s, Dr. Chapman served as medical director, Consult and Liaison Services, Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She was also the Director of Mental Health Services, GENder Education and Care Interdisciplinary Support (GENECIS) Program at Children’s Health. Clinically her work is oriented towards supporting youth and families in crisis. Her academic activities focus on the management of adolescent depression and suicide prevention.
