Omkar Kulkarni brings doctors, nurses, pharmacists, entrepreneurs, IT leaders, designers, thought leaders and subject matter experts together to create innovative solutions to complex healthcare problems, ranging from incremental process improvements within a hospital/health system to disruptive & transformative technologies that accelerate the pace of healthcare innovation nationwide.
He has managed a large hospital-based performance improvement team, growing the scope and size as the needs of the health system rapidly evolved.
He has built and led a hospital-based accelerator, working to develop and mentor start-up companies focused on innovations in healthcare.
He is a graduate of George Washington University. He has a master’s degree in public health and care management from Columbia University. Before joining CHLA, he was the executive director of the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, where he helped launch the program. He evaluated thousands of healthcare startups in the role.
